Habitat & Species at Risk Mapping
In Spring 2012 FVWC mapped streams, wetlands, and waterways using a modified Sensitive Habitat Inventory Method (SHIM) as well as identified species at risk in Laidlaw, Columbia Valley, and Deroche. The purpose of these small-scale mapping initatives are to help update the FVRD Habitat Atlas and include this information in a publicly accessible format through the Community Mapping Network (CMN).
This project was funded in partnership between the Real Estate Foundation, Fraser Valley Regional District, and Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. If you are interested in Learning more about our mapping activities please contact FVWC Project Manager , Natashia at email: Natashia@fvwc.ca
