Little Chilliwack River Riparian Project

Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition partnered with landowners, George and Elsie Peters, to restore a section of the Little Chilliwack River. The landowners generously provided the equipment to remove the invasive blackberry and FVWC  planted native trees and shrubs along the banks to provide habitat for fish and wildlife.

Riparian area before:

Many invasive plants present, including Himalayan Blackberry and Reed Canary grass.

Invasive plants removed and a diverse collection of native trees and shrubs being planted.
