Rachel graduated from University of the Fraser Valley with Bachelor of Science, Biology major. She has worked for FVWC since June 2009, organizing meetings, developing riparian restoration plans, environmental monitoring, and coordinating volunteers. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding and organic farming.
Natashia Cox BA.,EP.,RB Tech,
Natashia Cox is a Registered Biology Technician and certified Environmental Professional. She has a BA in physical geography and a minor in ecology from the University of the Fraser Valley. She is dedicated to restoring, protecting, monitoring and researching wetlands and watersheds. Natashia has experience working with sensitive habitat inventory mapping (SHIM), restoration and conservation project management, working with land trusts organizations, completing salmon habitat restoration projects, conducting radio-telemetry, streamside bio-engineering, and surveying habitats for species at risk.
Restoration Field Crew Lead
Winter Moon graduated from University of the Fraser Valley with a BA (Hons) in Physical Geography with a concentration in ecology. She is using luminescence dating to reconstruct quaternary landscapes for her MSc in Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She has been working on restoration and conservation projects for the Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition and the Fraser Valley Conservancy over the last few years. She has been actively involved in Sensitive Habitat Inventory Mapping (SHIM), Salish Sucker habitat enhancements, species at risk inventories, salmon habitat restoration, and environmental education and outreach. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, golfing and raising her family.
