Join our team this summer and help protect the Fraser Valley’s watersheds. The Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition (FVWC) is hiring Environmental Technician – Summer Students to support hands-on ecological restoration work across a variety of project sites throughout the Fraser Valley. This outdoor position is ideal for students and young people who enjoy physical work, value teamwork, and want to gain meaningful environmental field experience while making a tangible impact on local ecosystems.
You will gain practical experience in invasive species removal, indigenous planting, erosion control, site maintenance, environmental monitoring, and general restoration activities, all while working outdoors alongside a supportive and passionate team.
Please note that these positions are funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program and are therefore subject to funding approval. Applicants must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility requirements.
Job Type: Full time, temporary summer position
Start Date: May 4, 2026
End Date: August 29, 2026
Compensation: $24.17 per hour
Location: Preference will be given to candidates local to the Fraser Valley Regional District area (including Hope, Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission and electoral areas).
